2026 Random Cowboys Stuff Thread...

We need a backup RB far more than we need window dressing at CB and LB.

Williams’ running style will expose him to injury and honestly we have shit in reserve, no matter how hard we are crossing our fingers on Blue and MaFEH.

I agree with that too.

We really should have taken one in the draft.

It's honestly amazing how this team is literally incapable of finding a day 3 OT (or really anything outside of round 1) who is worth a damn.

They're pretty solid on the interior with guys like Bass, Biadasz, etc., but they take a OT almost every god damn year on day 3 and they all wash out almost immediately.

2026 - Shelton is TBD but chances are he won't be great
2025 - Cornelius has already been moved inside
2024 - Thomas looks on the verge of being cut, definitely teetering
2023 - Asim Richards was cut within about 2-3 years
2022 - Matt Waletzko, i.e. pure ass
2021 - Josh Ball, also pure ass

Six straight years taking a day 3 OT, and quite possibly (probably?) six straight years of pure busts. I'm not even expecting a guy who can start, but you can't even find a half decent swing OT?

A monkey throwing darts couldn't do worse.

It has gotten to the point that it feels like throwing the draft pick in the trash every time we do it. And we always do it.

At this point if there's a high floor, low ceiling RT type like Blake Miller available when we pick next year, I'm just taking him, unless there's a no-brainer Lamb type prospect on the board. I don't even give a shit about how athletic they are or how quick their feet are if they're a project, sign me up for some big asshole 5th year senior with 40 starts who can just stay in front of a guy.

You basically can't find OT's anywhere except the top 2 rounds, and you know for damn sure this group isn't going to be able to, so fuck it.
