After Parsons popped his ACL I think we definitely came out as the winner of the trade, but even aside from that I'd rather have what we got over just Parsons.
That's specific to our roster situation though, I think there are teams out there where Parsons would make more sense over Quinnen/Clark/Lawrence, etc., even coming off the ACL.
Trading Parsons was kind of the price we had to pay for the sins of some of the poor roster/draft decisions made between 2022-2025 and the inability of the FO to put a solid supporting cast around him. Given his lack of size/inability to stop the run Parsons is really kind of a luxury piece if you're talking about paying him as a top 3 defensive player in the league. If you don't have the lunch pail guys/depth to do the dirty work you're just going to run Parsons into the ground and have a very flawed defense, and that was exactly the situation we were in this time last year.
