2026 Random Cowboys Stuff Thread...

Depends on how Lawrence turns out but I think we should've gotten a little more, although not significantly more.

I think people underrate how Williams factors into all of this, he's an absolutely elite player who is probably only a tier behind Parsons in the grand scheme of defensive players in the league.

It's not settled, these two fourth round picks are also technically from the trade...

I would rather have traded them a 4th from this year. Don't like the idea of trading picks from next year. Especially considering we do not have a 4th and 5th. Do NOT want to send them our 3rd. Or worse.
We ain’t trading for his overrated ass.

I would do next year's 5 for Brooks but I'm not interested in giving up anything in the first 3 rounds now that we have a decent enough guy in Winters.

Watched the all-22 of Winters over 3 games - @Rams, vs. Bears and vs. Seahawks to see what we're getting and it's about what I expected.

He's very average overall but seems to be in the right place most of the time even if he's generally limited due to his size. His biggest weakness is that he's only 5-11 and gets swallowed up vs. the run in close quarters.

His biggest strength is his sideline to sideline speed, he ran a 4.49 at the Combine and that shows on the field. I think that speed will come in handy against the running QB's in the division.

So overall about what I expected, I think he'll be a fine bandaid and maybe he sticks around on a cheap extension beyond 2026, but in general it's a guy you feel ok with as a starter but if a guy like Barham progresses faster than expected you wouldn't think twice about sitting him.

The nice thing is that over about 175 or so plays I didn't once see him pull a Murray special where he immediately starts retreating 10-15 yards downfield to try to meet the ball carrier after they've gained about 20 yards.
