Also interesting that they'd give up on McCarthy so quickly.
On which end?Holy crap. I would be pissed if the Cowboys did that.

If the Cowboys gave up that much for McDuffie. On which end?
I'm not giving up a 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 6th for a corner with 3 career INTs over 4 years. If I give up that much I want someone a lot closer to a difference maker.Might be a slight overpay but the Rams are going for it right now, as they should, so I get it.
The big risk is that Stafford could turn into a pumpkin at any moment given his age.
I think it's great for the Rams. You get an All-Pro corner for basically the 29th pick in the draft? The rest doesn't mean that much to me for a player that good.
Problem is, you have to pay him, but I guess they're prepared to do that. I doubt they'd give that much for just one year.
The Rams have never put a premium on draft picks. This has always sort of been their way.
No kidding. They've traded their first rounder nine times in the last ten years. The Rams have never put a premium on draft picks. This has always sort of been their way.
Like the old George Allen Redskins. No kidding. They've traded their first rounder nine times in the last ten years.

But, then what? Trading your first round pick every year for almost a decade isn't sustainable. Yes, they did win one SB, which I am envious of, but the devil is going to come knocking at some point. Hell, the Cowboys have a better record over the last 10 years than the Rams do. But, again, I am jealous of that one SB win.And I mean I get it from the perspective if you're going all in. McDuffie is going to give you more in the short run than a corner you draft at 29. But it's definitely an all in strategy.
You can get away with it if you kill it on Day 2 and 3. We should try that sometime. And I mean I get it from the perspective if you're going all in. McDuffie is going to give you more in the short run than a corner you draft at 29. But it's definitely an all in strategy.

(allegedly).
