2026 Draft Week Chatter Thread...

Right, and how would he have a deal worked out with another team in advance? It would have leaked.

I mean yes and no. I don't think anything was leaked on Parsons for example before the trade happened. Granted, teams are a little busy with this draft right now compared to the time of year that Parsons was traded.

Mansoor Delane, CB, LSU

Dallas is a team that people around the NFL believe would move up the board in the right scenario, but at what cost? The stick-and-pick approach pays off here, as the team lands the No. 1 cornerback after giving up a league-high 46 completions of 25-plus yards in 2025, per ESPN Research. Delane's size, run-support skills and ball disruption are NFL-ready.

Keldric Faulk, Edge, Auburn

The defensive overhaul for the Cowboys continues with Faulk, a 21-year-old who looked like a potential top-10 pick coming into this past season. His production tapered (only two sacks in 2025 after seven in 2024), but he has a lot of desirable traits. Faulk was the tallest (6-5⅞) and heaviest (276 pounds) among all edge rushers at the combine. He is strong against the run and has positional versatility.

His production tapered because he wasn't really creating those sacks in 2024. Anyone who gets excited that he was a top 10 projection I highly recommend going back and looking at those sacks from 2024. I don't think the player changed from 2024 to 2025. He just didn't get as many cleanup sacks.

But I did gain an appreciation for Crawford while watching Faulk games from 2025. Crawford is projected as a 2nd/3rd round pick by Brugler. Not sure I love him that much but he stands out on that defense.

If Kiper says it, there is zero chance. He has not nailed a Dallas choice in years, if ever.

Last year was 20 year anniversary of CNN/SI tirade. Did we not pay our respect to this momentous occasion?
