2026 Cowboys Free Agency Thread…

We have so much $$$$ tied up in DT's. We usually don't have any good DT's. Now we have 3. I'm just not sure Osa fits into what CP wants to do. Maybe he does.

It's really D-lineman though. You're talking about 3 Dlineman in a 3-4 and those are your 3 Dlineman. You take Osa out (Who I actually think is a good fit at DE in a 3-4) and now who is starting at DE? Keldric MFing Faulk? Payton Turner? Because you don't have another guy.

I won't deny we may have signed the Chargers guy to play NT with Williams and Clark as your DEs. I just don't think trading away Osa for dirt is good business at all.

Solomon Thomas I guess. Maybe Gary?

If they trade him for a low return they're doing it for salary reasons and I'm really really against that.

If they got a good return I get it.

He is being paid a lot of money, Mortimer.

I just have no faith they get a good return I guess. And it feels like you're opening a new hole on the Dline where you need a starter.

So what would be a good return? Hypothetically in terms of draft picks? Anything short of a third I'd say go sit and spin.

Now if you're talking a player. It would have to be a player so good you'd be willing to trade a third for them. That's Pickens before trade level good.

This is why it bugs me. We have enough holes to fill without voluntarily creating another one.

They signed him to be an interior standard 3-T disruptor in Eberflus’ scheme. I dunno how he fits the “multiple” things.

Maybe we should just go down the franchise tag list and pick off who we want, eh Marcus?

I think Parker prefers 2-gap types on the interior to kind of build a wall in the A/B gaps so Osa probably doesn't fit his preference even though I think generally Osa is fine as a 5T/4i type player.

"We lacked him in the draft!!!" That's just fucking lazy.

I dunno y’all, we might have dabbed our lips and pushed away from the table with a loud belch regarding free agency.
