2026 Cowboys Free Agency Thread…

Man, I really hate the god damn media some times. Well, most times.

She's not saying what's false though, and it's certainly possible that there's a disconnect between the agent and the player.

France does have a reputation.

True, but I can say I hate the media and my post will still be on topic 99 times out of 100.

Look at this man.

You are a bouncer on the Bang Bus.

You have free reign to judge whether or not he enters paradise.

Judge.

According to Broaddus (take it as you will), he asked around and says that what's fake is that Dallas offered 7.5. He says Dallas offered under 7.

He said what's true is that Aubrey asked for 10.

I'd encourage his agent to find a team willing to sign him for a 2.

Dude wants like a 60% increase from the current highest paid NFL kicker. I'll use the second round tender and move on. Dude isn't even a real free agent. He is restricted. This shouldn't even be something to lose a second of sleep over.

Talk to me when he is an unrestricted free agent. We have such a weird way of prioritizing contracts.

Im sure he knows he isnt getting 10 but asking for that maybe gets him more than if he asked for 8.

Plus is this Aubrey asking for it or his agent advocating for him?

I've always thought that was a stupid negotiating strategy. Ask for something preposterous thinking it will somehow get you more in the end. Why not ask for 20 mil a year or 30 mil a year.

No one is upping their offer because you ask for something insane. All it does is stall any sort of negotiation. This happens all the time with attorneys. I always roll my eyes when another attorney tries to settle by offering something unrealistic. I usually respond by not even bothering countering.

In this instance my response would have been we will stick with the restricted tender then, see you next offseason.
