2026 Cowboys Free Agency Thread…

We already have the most expensive offense in football. Do we have to overpay the kicker too?

Saw that he turned down 7.5 per

Highest paid NFL kicker is 7.3 or 7.4 I think. We just signed our really good starring NFL RB for 8.

Aubrey is great and all that, but he is a kicker. And there are now other NFL kickers hitting from 60+. I'm not going to massively jump the kicker pay scale when the dude is still a restricted free agent. Thats insane. Like paying Zeke when he still has year 4 and 5 you can play him on his rookie deal.

Just pay the fuck until he pulls a Bailey or Maher or whatever. It is zero in the grand scheme.

Nothing is worth the grief of worrying over a kicker or long snapper.

Fine, just do it. It is not that complicated.

Agreed, I swear the Cowboys are worried about the fucking kicker contract because they are terrified to actually work on the Pickens deal. The one that actually needs done.

Also he kinda sucked to end the year, we just didn’t notice because the team sucked.

I'd feel a lot better about finding a new kicker with Bones and not dipshit Wino ST coach.

Oh I noticed. Kickers are wierd and can just lose it overnight so I will be concerned until proven otherwise.

Tbh though, his losing it may only be down to 80% instead of the 85%. He actually improved his percentage last season from the previous.

Not only are kickers weird but they are weird in the way they translate from college to the NFL. Some kickers are nobodies in college but stars in the NFL. Star college kickers suddenly are awful in the NFL. And you have dudes like Aubrey who take just the most random path imaginable to becoming a star kicker.
