My guess is just like with Quinn, they see he's not good as an anchor type, so they're hoping if he loses a little he'll at least move better.

This will be two highly-respected DCs in Quinn and Eberflus thinking the same thing. I don't think they're both crazy.

I think it's more about their scheme than anything, Greg Ellis said it himself that Quinn and Eberflus both have "vertical" (upfield, penetrating) schemes while the scheme last year more 2-gapping stuff.
