You can shove a big piece of fuck off dynamite in your ass and jump into a vat of fuck around juice and fuck around just long enough for the fuck off dynamite to explode and in the fallout of all of that fucking around you can literally GO FUCK YOURSELF.
Did they work on anger management at that rehab place? :unsure

I know a lot of you do this kind of stuff all year, but with the way this season has gone it really has me thinking about where the problems really are.

We know there is a Jones problem. I can’t do anything about that so I'm going to skip it.

That leaves coaching and talent. Looking through the roster, I can't see how we should be at the bottom third of this league. Maybe I am overvaluing the talent, but I don't think so.

Is there really any question about talent on the offensive side of the ball?

QB – Dak is not elite, but he is easily top 10 in the league, right? Early in the season there were MVP talks. He has been accurate, limited interceptions, and with two games left has two receivers over 1000 yards. Not bad. I think he can hold on to the ball too long and take too many sacks because he won’t throw it away. And his legs are gone, not really scaring anyone but can occasionally get a few yards.

RB – I have been happy with Williams. Wasn’t sure what to expect after not really seeing him in the preseason, but he is over 1000 yards, runs hard, falls forward, and holds on to the ball. Not a top tier running back, but I think he is good enough. He is great in pass protection too. I don’t believe this is a weakness, but it could be improved with more speed. We don’t have that on the roster right now.

WR – CeeDee and Pickens are ELITE. Pickens had a few bad games, so what, franchise him and run it back next year. Flournoy is your #3. X the Mingo project, no one cared about that anyway. I don’t think there is a better wide receiver group in the NFL.

TE – Ferg is just OK. Don’t want to waste much time on this one. This may be the one spot on offense that really needs to be adjusted. This TE room is not good to me.

OL – Tyler Smith is legit. Tyler Booker looks the part. Tyler Guyton may be OK, but a move to the right side may serve him better. Cooper Beebe has been OK, hard to replace a favorite like Fredrick. Steele isn’t great, probably not on the team next year. This is a group I’m struggling with. I think we have plenty of talent here, but you shouldn’t have to have a first rounder at every spot up front to be successful. Are we not that good? To me, this group is more than talented enough, I don’t think they are coached well.

There is definitely not as much talent on the defensive side of the ball. But are they really that bad?

DL – Clowney – Clark – Williams – Osa – EZE/Fowler. Who’s mad at that? I know the season didn’t start with that group, but for the last 6 weeks they have all been here and there is no pass rush to speak of.

LB – Worst group on the team, by far, not one of them plays downhill. None of them are good in coverage. Only Overshown can run and he can’t stay on the field. This group needs all kinds of attention in the offseason.

DB – If you told me before the season we would have Diggs/Bland/Hooker/Wilson as the starters for the secondary, they’re all healthy and playing 80% of their peak ability, I would have been ecstatic. Today, I can’t tell if any of them should be in the NFL. It’s been that bad. They look lost, slow, and none of them have displayed any ball skills. And they don’t tackle. All together, the entire group is out of place. I don’t know if this is a talent issue, but I do know it’s a coaching issue. Either way, I think Diggs is gone after this season and I don’t know how to feel about the rest of the group.

Looking around the league, it feels like there are far less talented teams that are performing much better than the Cowboys. I think we all want a new D coordinator, rightfully so, the defense has been terrible all year. The offense has disappeared in the second halves of games too though. What should be an Elite O-line is just OK. This coaching staff gets a hard D from me. Schotty isn’t going anywhere. But the coaching barrel should be churned on both sides of the ball, special teams too.

I have no problem playing Tyler at LT. But if Guyton is healthy enough to play I want him on the field. Probably at RT then. Or play Nate Thomas at RT. Steele isn't going to get better, and he is a prime cut candidate. Why wouldn't you give guys a chance to prove they can hold down that spot?

And your talk sets up perfectly for that second first round pick to be the Penn State guard...

I'm still definitely on board with the Booker pick, but Bass is a starting caliber OG and if we move Tyler to LT it'd be moronic to do anything except pencil Bass in at LG.

Resign Hoffman if possible and you have solid depth all over.

No doubt about it. This defense is so bad, it even finally dragged the offense down.

And even this defense would be better with better coaching. Scheme aside, I'm pretty sure Eberflus totally lost the players just like he did in Chicago.

Eberflunk HAS to go, like to see Jerry and Schotty starting to distance themselves.

Hopefully Schottenheimer brings in his own recruit, or else just fire all our coaches and start over.

Absolutely!!! You cannot replace good coaching .. it’s paramount that the Cowboys seek this …I’ll give 1 example and it’s gonna burn our ass.. look at the 49ers..they lost Deebo Samuel’s and Tre Greenlaw to FA…Aiyuk didn’t play at all ..Purdy gone for 8 games… and they are 11-4 … made the playoffs and with a little luck ..could end up with the #1 seed ..

I think you're mostly right but I think the offense is getting too much blame because we don't win unless they play nearly perfectly.

They played plenty well enough to beat Minnesota and even the Chargers in the first half, but when your defense is so bad that they're consistently turning leads into deficits because they can't get more than one stop a game, eventually the dam breaks on offense.

For example, we were down 14-10 against the Chargers, Dak hit Pickens for the big TD to go up 17-14. When you're at home that should be a big momentum turning play, but the next time they got the ball they were down 24-17 because the defense literally is incapable of getting stops. Similar things happened against Minnesota the week before and several games earlier in the year.

The offense isn't perfect, the OT situation is average at absolute best unless they plan on playing Tyler Smith at LT, and they need a second dependable RB so that they aren't entirely reliant on Williams, but if we had a league average defense we'd be in the playoffs this year. I'm guessing that will be the case next year as well.

The offense needs some tweaks, and I seriously question whether Schottenheimer is a legit HC vs. just a good OC/play designer, but the only way to really tell is if we have something resembling an NFL defense so that the offense isn't under constant pressure to score every drive.
