Bitching about Pickens is nothing but residual frustration with our stupid ass defense.

If we had the 20th ranked defense we'd be about 10-5 right now, so I'm not going to complain about an elite WR because he had 2 shitty games (while our other WR's feasted).

Would be really nice to fix a weakness without making another spot on our roster worse in the process. If the goal is to win a superbowl you can't try to fix the defense by making the offense worse. You're just treading water if that's what you do.

They asked Jerry on his show today if Guyton could be move to RT in the future and he very directly said yes, we could do that.

That kind of surprised me... thought he might talk around it, not really say, etc.

Schottenheimer saying they were going to play Tyler at LT the rest of this season regardless of Guyton being available or not was kind of a big thing.

I don't know what they plan on doing with Steele but if Tyler and Bass look decent these next two games, as they did against the Chargers, I think they'll go into next year with those two penciled in on the left side.

Eh I'm not surprised. You could ask him if Tyler Smith can play both LG and LT at the same time and he would tell you yes.

I have no problem playing Tyler at LT. But if Guyton is healthy enough to play I want him on the field. Probably at RT then. Or play Nate Thomas at RT. Steele isn't going to get better, and he is a prime cut candidate. Why wouldn't you give guys a chance to prove they can hold down that spot?

And your talk sets up perfectly for that second first round pick to be the Penn State guard...

Agreed.
