Man whiffing on Mazi Smith and Luke Schoonmaker really sucks. You need to hit on those. I know you can't hit on all of them, but these dudes are not just misses. They're huge misses. A DT that can't get on the field and a 3rd string TE who is not even close to our UDFA.

I've already seen better play from Guyton then either of those guys. He is at least a serviceable LT right now.

Kneeland kind of the same. Maybe his ceiling is just, good rotational DE. But he will have a long NFL career as a run defending DE if that's all he is.

Not what you want in a first or second round pick yet. It's still early for both. But still better than Mazi who can't even be a good run defending DT. Or Schoon who can't at least be a good blocking or receiving TE. Those aren't just misses, those are sixth round pick expected returns.

I dunno. There are a lot of moments when he's just barely holding on. I know Tyron worked with him in camp, but you can either deal with the speed rush or you can't. And when you add Steele to the equation, the ball has to come out sooner than you'd like.
 
something in the 90s would have been preferable. 99 is much scarier than 42 but I can’t explain why.

Guyton missed a ton of camp and when he got hurt the thought was he'd miss some regular season games. He has somewhat of a leash with me. And the Giants pass rush is their strength.

Can't compare him to Mazi.

Correct, if he were comparable to Mazi, Dak would already be in a body cast.
