This is where I am. The Cowboys intentionally wait until the last minute. Same song and dance.

Yea, the big practice days leading up to the opener will be 8/31 - 9/2, if he isn't extended by about 8/29 (3 weeks from this Friday) then I'll start wondering where things are going.

I'm really hoping Micah tells him to fuck off.

Parsons has no leverage. He sits a year, doesn’t get paid and no year counted towards FA.

And you have a Boomer owner that doesn’t give a shit about winning anymore and concentrates on the bottom line so he doesn’t really care if he isn’t there.

Just curious. How old are you? This has been your go-to lately.

I’m Gen X

And for the record, Jerry isn’t even an out of touch fucking boomer. He’s before that…. Ironically, he’s part of the so called Silent Generation.

NoDak said:
Ahh. Wouldn't have thought that. The continual use of boomer as a slur is more a millenial/Gen Z thing.

Good if you want to sound younger, though.

Where is bb to get him for that? :unsure

Total idiot. Well obviously I’m not a Jones fan, but I will say that is how the old school business people did it back in the day. A handshake was as good as any contract that you could sign

But a true businessman and especially a GM understands that today’s athletes don’t do anything like that anymore. Those days are gone.

This is basically what it is. He's still trying to use the same playbook he used 30 years ago.

There's a two generation gap between Jerry and Micah. You're not going to find many in the younger generation who still operate by the "wink and a handshake" code. Especially when you're talking about a massive deal like this.

He may very well have done the deal with Bum Bright with a wink and a handshake but he damn sure didn’t do Aikman’s rookie deal with that bullshit.

They really need to do something, like lock him up.

As much as I loathe Goof Son, I don’t think he would have the balls and ignorance to have a sideshow like this right in the fucking middle of training camp.

Yea that's kind of what I've been saying about Stephen for a while.

Do I want him to be our GM?

Obviously not.

But would I take our current setup just with Jerry dead, as opposed to the current setup with Jerry alive?

Yea, I'm going dead Jerry and the current setup for sure, because even though Stephen might continue being a miserly fuck even when his dad is gone, I know for damn sure he isn't going to be making a show of himself like this every opportunity he gets.
