Here's a rando question...

With Winfrey eligible to start practicing next week, do you start thinking about a Mazi trade for maybe a LB? Obviously you wouldn't get a star, but it is a relatively low-value position on defense, so maybe you get someone better than the crap we've got now.

No idea who could be out there, though. And it is a little early. Maybe in two or three weeks some teams who have already thrown in the towel are willing to give up a decent player.

I do not think he is interested in playing. Other teams have been decimated at corner as well and he is not visiting anybody.


As of July he was still saying he wanted to play in the right situation.

July 3: Gilmore confirmed on The Money Down podcast that he wants to play in 2025, though he is looking for “the right place” for his 14th NFL season.

“I’m not just going to sign anywhere,” said Gilmore (via Pro Football Talk’s Charean Williams), “so it’s got to be the right situation.”

right place translates to playoff team that needs a corner.
