2025 Cowboys Cuts/Practice Squad Thread…

Yeah that wasn't meant as a positive for Deuce. I have the last two years in Carolina to judge Sanders on as well and he was trash. Maybe you say, well he played on a shitty team. The problem is Hubbard didn't have a problem looking great there in the shitty environment.

I always thought the Sanders signing was a throw away. 28 year old RB coming off back to back pathetic seasons. To me it's obvious the dude is washed and carries no value in the NFL. The pathetic preseason just supported what I already thought. He is washed up.
That's exactly why I said I'd rather have just kept Rico and added the rookies. Or just signed Williams. Sanders just muddies the situation imo.

Bummer. Hope they can get him back on the PS.

I hope I'm wrong about Sanders but nothing about his situation gives me a glimmer of hope. I just think these are the same evaluators that thought Zeke still had something. Or Delvin Cook still had something.

I prefer Flournoy, although it'd be nice to keep him on the PS.
I'd have kept both of them, Flournoy more as a developmental WR and Brooks as a special teamer.

Hopefully they made one of those deals with him to get full pay on the PS and be moved up regularly. Like you say, I'm guessing they'd have rather kept him, but had to go heavy elsewhere due to injuries.

I had a sneaking suspicion they were going to cut Mukuamu, I had him on my 53 guess but that's because I forgot about Thomas who obviously is way ahead of him on the depth chart.

The fact that they were playing Mukuamu in the 2nd halves of preseason games (and not really much in the 1st) was kind of the writing on the wall.

This one bothers me a little but he has been around a bit.

All of us were impressed with him in the playoff game against Tampa in 2022, but ultimately he barely played in 2023 under Quinn, then barely played last year under Zimmer, and was now cut under Eberflus.

So that's three different DC's who didn't think he should be getting an expanded role (or really any role in the case of Zimmer/Eberflus), so it is what it is.

2028 draft pick? How far in the future can you trade picks now? I know the NBA be trading picks 10 years in the future and shit.

Shit I hope we're all still around here in 2028 :unsure
