2025 Cowboys Cuts/Practice Squad Thread…

You really want to play Sanders for 6 weeks to know what we already know? That he sucks.
Quick, someone get the analytics guy on the horn so he can explain to us with some advanced nerd metrics why Sanders and the other 3.6 ypc scrub are actually not scrubs.

Sanders looked like shit.

Jevonte we gave the Zeke fucking treatment so we have no idea. And the only guy I feel sort of OK about is Blue. Just fucking stupid. Mafah looks like a reliable and steady guy who I feel like they are pulling the IR stash game with and I hate it.

It's unbelievable that they don't understand the importance of a strong running game.

There's literally an alleged team in their own division that allegedly won the Superbowl twice in the past 8 years or whatever it's been, in part on the strength of a strong running game and mediocre QBs.

Not to mention our own history.

Translation: they want to see how it goes with the current group, and if it goes shitty they'll hope Mafah can bring a spark.
Which works for me. I am not jazzed enough to burn a spot that we could use somewhere else, but he showed enough that he could be a fallback if the others look like ass.

Herro? Analytics department, John speaking, how may I help you?

I hope it's more like, we like Mafah but we aren't totally confident in him knowing the full offense, blitz pickups, etc. So we're going to give him a few more weeks to get it down cold. (And by then people will know how spare Sanders is, too.)

If he is on IR, he cannot do field work but he can go into the classrooms.

Still bummed, though, because even if he only had two carries for six yards, I wanted to see him bust some unsuspecting Eagles DB in the mouth Thursday night.

Instead we get Miles Sanders' "revenge game." :doh

But at least they aren't trying to sneak Mafah though waivers and having someone else claim him. That would really be a kick in the junk.

Listened to a couple of podcasts last night and Broaddus is saying people tell him that the coaches pretty much were done with Mazi but Jerry won't cut him. Says Mazi will make the team. Jerry wants to see one more year before he lets him go.

And he called the Mafah injury (air quotes) early in the day before it happened, so people who know are talking to him.

Not surprised that the cunt that knows nothing about football wants to keep the bust around.
