They have a money printing machine running on auto-pilot.

Don't change a thing!
It sounds like these fucking cunts are actually going cheap on trainers, physical therapists, and other staff that helps these players recover from injuries and the overall brutality of the game. Not to mention they don't want to pay coaches.

I wouldn't be surprised if there is something beneath the surface related to BlueStar Industries or whatever the fuck their investment firm is and they are fuckin hemorrhaging cash.

Really? I was aiming for sad.
No. Not what you said. I couldn't give a shit less about that.

It's hilarious you'd think I could possibly be insulted by anything a lowlife piece of shit like you could say.

I think this is it in a nutshell.

Use the extra week or so to slow roll McCarthy talking to other teams in order to get concessions, and if that doesn't work just bring in shit bird Moore who would probably be fine keeping Zimmer and will likely bring Witten back as TE coach as a bonus.

Man, if this played out and McCarthy ended up HC elsewhere, it’d be hard not to root for McCarthy to beat us.

That or the kids are starting to look at their inheritance and realizing it's going to get split multiple directions. Plus I'm sure there is an inheritance tax that has to be paid. I think Jerry knows his end isn't that far off. And I think his spoiled brat kids know this as well.

We've been saying that Payton and Fatso are basically the same coach, but one just rode a pure rookie QB to the playoffs.

With a real owner and real front office though, right?

You're either being obtuse or disingenuous to do a like for like comparison with those two when one works for a real NFL organization and the other one works in Dallas.

The Waltons might be weirder than Jerry. But a real GM, yes.

The point is, he's not working for a clown show and being told who he can play and when, right?

He does things his way with the full backing of the operation. And you know damn well McCarthy isn't afforded that same luxury.

That's because the Waltons know they're grocers, not "football men." They know their limitations.

Correct. Payton would never have to deal with a Walton signing Terrell Davis and telling him that he can still play.

Ok, you obviously know the deal so why would you compare the job McCarthy has done to the one Payton is doing in Denver when you know that the conditions that each respective coach operates under are so different from one another?

Because Payton did far more with far less this year. Jerry is a cheap turd but on gameday he isn't an impediment to winning. He doesn't stand on the sideline anymore or make calls during a game demanding that a player plays or sits. At a certain point you can no longer use the owner as an excuse. We had 11 penalties yesterday, many of them before the snap. That's not on Jerry.

I would OPENLY root for it.

While working under optimal circumstances!

Come on, man. You're too knowledgeable to not know just how hugely detrimental the Jones way of doing things is to the everyday success of the team -- and yes, that includes gameday even if you don't think it does.

"Less with more", my ass.

I'd rather have a less talented roster but a real coach allowed to do things the right way than a super talented roster doing things the Cowboys way..... Actually, you know what? I have seen that time and time again and I know how that story ends.

So if anyone was working with "less", it was absolutely McCarthy.

It's in Jerry's best interests to let this play out until the 14th, because by then most of the other jobs might be filled, meaning Mike will have no choice but to crawl back and sign a below market value contract from Jerry.
I was just talking about this with my dad. Jerry is screwing Jerry over for the second time this year. I mean the Jets have already interviewed like 8 candidates?

It's best to tune out over the next 4-5 days, the last time they did this shit with Garrett I don't think they acknowledged that Garrett wouldn't be back for about a full week.
I said the same thing earlier today when I saw Jane Slater's update.

The Dallas media is wasting their time looking for an update on McCarthy job this week. Jerry's just gonna let the contract expire next week like he did with Garrett.

Also, it occurred to me that they're treating HC hires/searches like they do free agency.

Right now all the teams with openings are scrambling trying to interview and hire the best coaches possible. By the time the Cowboys get around to searching for their next HC, the most highly desired coaches will probably be off the market and all they'll be left with are marginal retreads and Kellen Moore level assistants.
