One of the things that irritates me about Schefter is that sometimes he uses ambiguous language and it's tough to discern whether he's guessing or actually heard someone on the inside say what he's reporting.

Based on how he worded this, I'm not sure if this is him speculating or not but this appears to be Schefter's opinion to me.

That said, I agree McCarthy probably is coming back.

Only dumb ass fans on Facebook would bet otherwise.

Since this is the random thread... How are we not totally screwed next year? Tons of free agents-to-be. We won't use free agency except to overpay our own guys. We have a decently high draft pick in each round, but there aren't enough picks to fill all the holes. Jerry flushed our fourth rounder down the toilet for the second year in a row. Diggs' knee is shot and he may be done for good.

And that's besides the coaching issue. We have no idea who Jerry wants or will make the effort to hire.

I'm not usually the doomer type but I don't see how we even have a chance. Is there something I'm missing?
Don’t forget we’re getting our gimp QB back who just had his hammy ripped off his leg like a fuckin thanksgiving turkey drumstick .. gonna be a great year !

He's a lying sack of shit. He knew.

Meanwhile in Tampa, the Bucs went out of their way to make sure Mike Evans reached his numbers so that he could cash in on a $3.5 million dollar incentive.

I guarantee players around the league are going to start taking note of these little stunts and it might end up being the difference between signing or missing out on a desired FA.

In what world are we actually pursuing "desired FA's"?

Literally the most valuable franchise in the world and these bums are operating it like a small town mom and pop shop.

Coach salaries aren't tied to a salary cap. Why the hell are you so hung up on finding someone who will settle for an incentive based deal? "Settle" being the key word.

That just lets you know their plan is to target the lowest hanging fruit.

Why?

Because they aren't serious about winning in a truly meaningful way.

You know it will be Kellen Moore if Fat Mike isn't back.
