Looking at the other trades around the league and the low picks given up just cements the fact that we are well into Jer’s Al Davis era. Just fucking awful. If their pro scouts weren’t screaming no at this trade for Mingo then they are completely incompetent or complacent yes men.
Y'all are so dense.

This is about the future.

I'm bout to go buy ten Mingo jerseys to offset the hate.

What makes you think our pro scouts did not make the recommendation? He carried a top grade from the draft. Just use that.

I get that Carolina's passing offense probably isn't showcasing his talent but I'm sick of taking on young players that teams already view as a failure for what is essentially a middle round pick. Carolina knows what they have, if he looked good they wouldn't have traded him.

You think anyone would give us a fourth for Schoonmaker? Of course fucking not.

Who were our 2022 and 2023 draft visits? GMs should be tripping over themselves to offload any disappointments once the offseason starts

Exactly. Just because they're a bad team with no quarterback doesn't mean they're just going to give away young building blocks.

The pro scouts are the ones evaluating talent in the NFL, correct? If they recommended Mingo for a 4th based on his tape at Carolina, then yeah, incompetent or yes men.

Well the grade was wrong because he's been a bust. Lance was an obvious bust too but you couldn't help yourselves.
They get them thinking they can fix them because it can’t be that their evaluation was wrong. Hell, the whole league could have been wrong. That does not mean you pay a premium to prove you were right.

Why did they think that when a far smarter, shredder outfit (Niners) couldn't?

You guys just haven't seen Mingos analytics.
