I dunno why this is becoming a thing, but it could happen and that idea is chilling.
That wouldn't happen after the diasater in DC.

Do not under estimate a stubborn dementia victim.

There is a reason the only two interviewed after Garrett was allowed to peacefully exit the building was Fat Mike and Marvin Lewis.

GM gets hired. GM makes immediate impact with wave of transactions. Cowboys win Super Bowl. Jerruh fires GM for getting all the credit.
After Jerry was overheard telling anyone who would listen to him that night, "Any of 500 other people could have GM'd that team to the Super Bowl!"

They tried to keep running back Tony Pollard with a lucrative multiyear offer that was not far off the three-year deal he signed with the Tennessee Titans (three years, with a max of $24 million and $10.49 million guaranteed). He has 339 yards on 78 carries and three touchdowns in five games.

The Cowboys never made a call to Derrick Henry despite the fact that he lives in the Dallas area. The free agent running back signed a two-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens that guaranteed him $9 million. After seeing Henry rush for 151 yards and two touchdowns against Dallas in Week 3, Jones said the Cowboys could not afford him. With a different structure of the deal, though, the Cowboys could have matched that guaranteed money, but it was their choice to pass on Henry, who leads the NFL in rushing (704 yards).

:lol

What’s crazy to me is how they use Deuce. With as much smarts as McCarthy has in offense you would think he would figure out not to run Deuce up the middle every time. He needs to be out in space with passes and toss plays. Running him up the middle is borderline absurd. But I am not surprised with these idiots

I honestly don't get some of these front offices paying "next one up" tier 2 and 3 QBs 50- 60 mil.

If I were running the Cowboys I'd laugh in Dak and his agent's fucking faces when they asked for 60 per. You'd have to be some kinda combination of Staubach and Aikman to get that kinda scratch from me.

And if you are a fucking WR making 40 per AND wearing a sacred number worn by Pearson and Irvin, you better goddam play like it or you can go get fucked in a massage parlor with Deshaun Watson.

I want that kind of young mind as well but he is going to need some skins on the wall to not be run over by Jerry.

Detroit is also loaded at the skill positions and has maybe the best O-line in the league.

Not sure why we'd assume Johnson would have the same results in Dallas with Lamb and a bunch of JAGs.
I think the main selling point of Ben Johnson is how he got Goff turned around when it looked like the reigning guru McVay had given up on him.

But yeah, that doesn't mean he'd make a good HC. Or that he could hold off Jerry.

Nobody can do that except maybe Belichick, and I still doubt he comes here for money if for no other reason. The only other guy I can think who might do that is Vrabel. Give me Vrabel and I'll take my chances. But I'd bet more on the flashy OC that Jerry can sell as helping Dak get over the hump.
