This would piss me off royally and be the proverbial cherry on top of this shit show of an offseason.

Putting a veteran with the ones at the start of camp to make the rookie "earn" his spot would piss you off royally? I highly doubt he's there the entire season, much less even the start of it.

You need to relax, dude. Goosefraba.

No, he said likely into the start of the season. That should piss you off.

Beat me to it.

Obviously, I agree.

Honestly he would be my priority number one contract. I know most would say Dak but without Lamb we are fucked. Guy is the most important player on our offense. Dak doesn't even matter if Lamb isn't out there.

And if you can't get Dak done whoever the QB is going to be is going to need Lamb.

Chuma!!!!

It doesn't.

Would it suck? Sure. But I see no point in letting a game I have no control over 'piss me off royally'.

I'm sure the rookies will have to earn it. That's to be expected. But if that lasts into the season the coaches deserve what is coming.
agreed. Chuma can get the nod, but he won’t last long. Micah will see to that .

Using the fact that they potentially may have sat Tyler Smith in 2022 isn't something that strengthens an argument that they know what they're doing, he was obviously ready to play right away and they were just idiots about it.

If Tyron didn't get hurt they might've gone into the season with Tyron at LT and McGovern at LG.

This is all to make the point that unless Guyton is in line to be a massive bust there's no way Edoga should be starting over time week 1, aside from the very real likelihood that the coaches are being massive idiots about this stuff, which is a distinct possibility given how they handled Tyler as a rookie.

I guess Javonte Williams is sort of cooked.

Herbert is intriguing and a cut above Dowdle.

3 years in the NFL, 24 years old and potentially cooked already. I'd certainly give him a look but if they cut him it's obviously not a good sign either. That's just how the NFL goes at RB.
