Full Draft Mode.

The most exciting time of year for Cowboys fans the majority of the last quarter century.

No, my bad I mean we've seen in games him struggle with pass protection and assuming they've seen the same thing in practice.
Did he struggle that much, though? He barely played, and when he did it was mostly with huge leads getting carries against massively stacked boxes.

If the coaches were this against him, I wish we hadn't even drafted him.

It's possible that he just wasn't ready yet. But once the season started I didn't even see a glimpse of anything to get excited about. So maybe the plan is to work in the offseason to improve and add some mass. Not all RBs are ready to start year one. Look at Kyren Williams of the Rams. Not much of anything as a rookie. This year over 1000 yards and 5 ypc. I'd say we probably just need to take a breath on this rookie.

With that being said he was a sixth round pick. Could just be he isn't as good as we had hoped. And may never be good enough to validate carving a special role out for him.

I don't have a lot of respect in general for Bryan, but I do appreciate this video.

I have started listening to the Fan in the afternoon and I remember 1 story about when he was with the Cowboys. Said in Hutchinson/Henson/Carter years the scouts were telling Jerry no regarding Henson. Jerry was talking to the Yankees about Henson and basically anybody who wasn't football related. He said the scouting department was basically ignored completely during that time.

Take that for what you will. Personally I just assumed that they were all on board but I guess the Maverick is just going to Maverick.

He also had a similar story with Parcells and Jacob Rogers. Basically had the scouts telling Parcells that he would absolutely hate Rogers. And yet he drafted him anyway. Second round pick who I am pretty sure never started a game in the NFL.

That was one major issue with Parcells. Sometimes his grocery shopping sucked. He would be sent out for a steak and return with a cannoli he had to drive out of his way for.

It is about not walking on egg shells again, basically.

Absolutely, these guys love being comfortable. The culture of the team will never change that way. Which is why we are basically getting the same results that we have had going all the way back to Parcells giving up the fight. Comfortable goes from the top down. The players get the same way which is why every time we start to win games, this team starts thinking their shit don't stink, until they get punched in the mouth and get their asses kicked. That's a recipe to a first or second round loss every year.

And when that approach does not work, again? Well you scream into your pillow, curse out the man in the mirror and take a few lackeys to the woodshed (figuratively).

Neither one of the Joneses like to have difficult conversations. That is how Garrett’s fucking ass hung around for a decade.

‘woodshed’ is a Cowboyism by who? Was it Jerruh?

I wonder if he set up a mirror when he took himself to the woodshed.
