I don't think he cares about credit or spotlight like Jerry, and it's possible that at the moment he is kind of just trying to play both sides since Jerry will always stick his nose into shit and maybe this is the only way Stephen thinks he can placate him while running a somewhat normal personnel operation.

Or maybe he's been completely incepted and thinks this is the only way to do it and nothing changes, no way of really knowing, but I think there's a possibility that he shifts things around once Jerry's nonsense isn't on the table anymore, similar to how McClay largely runs the draft.

I liked the story that Ryan Clark told before the game... Jones and the way he runs the team reminded him of a young guy he knew that when he figured he was going to be late to practice, he figured if he crashed his car he would have an excuse for being late and wouldn't be punished. "Jerry Jones been crashin' this car" lately was basically what he was saying. Made sense to my simple mind.

Exactly right. He should have either been fired or extended after last year's playoffs.

Of course we took the most retarded course of action though.

We'd probably have to keep him for a year, maybe "mentor" young Sanders, then maybe he'd agree to a trade, if anyone would take him. Take a huge cap hit like Denver did with Wilson.

It might be the only scenario under which Jerry would draft a QB, and it’s academic anyway while we currently only have the 9th pick and we might need the 1st overall to draft Sanders
