2024 College Football Chatter

First drive showed that they still run a bit of a hurry up-ish offense. It was slower than last season, which is good. I was curious to see if they were going to play slower now that Lebby is at Miss State.

Playing at a slower pace is needed to help out their defense.

Last year was ridiculous. I was surprised Venables didn't put a stop to that.

We're old men so his flamboyant attitude rubs us the wrong way. When we were younger we embraced our flashy, flamboyant players.

I think what matters most is what his teammates think of him and his leadership ability inside the locker room. If he checks those boxes, I'd be fully onboard with pursuing him in the draft.

I actually think he's better inside the pocket than Caleb Williams. He just doesn't have Caleb Williams' ability to make "WOW" highlight plays .

Yeah, he's a legit prospect and I like his talent.

Honestly, the few times I've seen them in interviews he doesn't seem like he's that much like Deion, but I've seen maybe 3 interviews with him?

I'm an OU fan but I always thought that was kind of weird. Especially when for the last many years they've been the better team.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of that shit.
 
The OU OL still looks pretty inconsistent....mostly at run blocking.

They had a ton of turnover (4 new starters I think), so hopefully this is something that will work itself out with more game reps. Ideally before they roll into the Red River Rivalry.
