Why does every broadcast do it? Who actually asked for this? I can't imagine a single fan wants it or would miss it if it's gone. No information has ever been "reported" by a sideline reporter that we couldn't have gotten in other ways.

The only real use for it is the injury updates. Other than that no one would miss it.

They keep showing footage of him getting off the team bus wearing a splint or brace on that hand. Even if the injury is new it doesn’t look good.
