Why mess up the chance at that top pick? Really wonder what they will do with Murray. He isn't really a bust but is he really the QB you want to start your rebuild with?

I guess, but wasn't Murray the top pick? It obviously doesn't solve anything in and of itself to have the top pick. I think you have to play your best players and let the chips fall where they may.

Did the Panthers make one of the biggest draft mistakes in history? Looks like it.

Funny thing is that Slowik’s system is the same stuff that Shanahan’s kid does.

Yeah I remember thinking that was weird at the time. That the defensive coordinator from the 49ers came in and basically went the opposite direction by taking the QB who did poorly on the cognitive test that the 49ers love and value so much. I feel like there was a lot of smoke that the Texans would pass on him for this very reason. Well it appears someone was smart enough to make the decision to draft the best pure passer in the class as opposed to worrying about a cognitive test.

It's sort of funny how this may impact the next draft class. Teams always seem to overreact from year to year based on what just happened. Last year the cognitive test because of Purdy was sort of all the rage.

Next time you're a FA, look to Texas.
I own property both in CA and in TX. There are certain financial advantages to having property in CA given how rapidly the values grow, and having a low property tax rate (it’s capped at 1% at the state level). But, the income tax rate and gun laws are nauseating. It’s mind boggling how stupid the politicians are over there. They’re just evil people.
