Dallas is only behind New England in terms of how much money they spent at the skill positions on offense. That needs to change. The only bonus is you don't end up stuck like we are with Gallup.

You could argue that that play was quite literally the reason we lost the game and it's the perfect microcosm of the failings of the offense basically ever since Garrett was around. Ridiculous play design with little to no situational awareness, and then of course a stupid mistake from Dak.
Oh, I think it is and I even said so when it happened -- that we would probably be pointing back to that play as the turning point in the game.
Again, I will never ever understand going with an empty backfield in a scenario where you've got the defense in a position where they have to account for both the run and the pass.
Coaches stay up late working on plays and scenarios to put the defense in this exact situation for only a handful of times in a game and yet there Moore was to throw that advantage away.
These are the scenarios offensive coordinators dream of! You have the defense at your mercy in that situation and the entire playbook is open to you.
And what did we do over and over again? We'd let the defense off the hook by basically telling them at the snap "Hey gaiz! Don't worry about the run AT ALL because we're not even going to have anyone in the backfield!"
I don't think any single playcall infuriated me more in the Garrett/Moore era than that one.
It is beyond idiotic to go empty backfield when you've got 2nd and 3rd and shorts, especially when your running game is effective and yet we did it countless times over the years.

Dorance came through with some great plays this season.#7 was the best
Glaring Zeke and Schultz omissions...
Hopefully the end is near.Jerry hasnt aged well. He's downright fugly at this point.
And that is almost irrelevant.Hopefully the end is near.
Jerry is still running cover even if Stephen is “more involved” these days. And that is almost irrelevant.
I think Stephen Jones has proven in the last few years since Deddy has let him drive slow on the driveway that things are not looking up when he takes a dirt nap.
Feh.Stephen will face criticism from everyone if the Cowboys start to crater under his watch. Ole PT bullshits, reminds everyone how he came from a poor as dirt beginning, tells corny stories and cries his way out of true microscopic criticism every time the Cowboys underachieve. And what’s really fucked up is the Dallas media has allowed that shit to go on for 28 years because it’s “Ole Jer”.
Stephen was born into money, is a fucking dork with zero stories, zero personality, and zero ability to shuck and jive. I don’t think the media or the fans will treat him the way Jerry has been treated.
Feh.
Stephen is just like Mark Davis.
So we have that going for us…which ain’t so nice.

Zeke Elliott at center.Oh, I think it is and I even said so when it happened -- that we would probably be pointing back to that play as the turning point in the game.
