I would like it, but assuming it was basically for the minimum and with the idea that they still need a number 2.

I like Hilton. He played well for missing most the year and basically starting from scratch with Dak. But I also keep in mind that odds of him staying healthy for an entire year is minimal at best. So sure, bring him back but you need to treat him as a bonus and not a guy you're counting on.

I am not impressed with the chemistry.

Maybe it was Prescott, but there were several occasions Sunday and even before that where it should have been a catalyst but it never materialized.

To me, his magic moment was against the Eagles.

I am not expecting more.

Peter King is a smart man.

Purdy has had ~7 starts? Even Prescott, Kaepernick, et al looked gangbusters at that point.

Hopefully Purdy gets exposed before they win a SB

If only we started Prescott in Week 10 2016 we’d have #6

He’ll definitely be exposed at some point.

I’m just saying that I would take him if the choice was down to the two of them.

Tongue in cheek.

Purdy and Kaepernick both started their careers mid season and went deep into playoffs. Prescott didn’t have enough magic to last from Week One all the way to the Super Bowl, but if Dak came in midseason, his ~7th game would be in the playoffs and on to the Super Bowl

On second thought, Romo’s career started Week 7 against the Giants and we still lost wild card Seattle in ultimate fashion

We’re just cursed regardless

As Data sort of explained, Purdy's basically doing the same thing Dak did in 2016 where he's not being asked to do a lot.

Plus Purdy has a hell of a lot more talent around him to work with. And the 49ers offensive schemes >>> the Cowboys schemes.

Lastly, at this point in their careers Purdy's not asked to do nearly as much as Dak. I'm not even sure he has the authority to call audibles.

That 2016 offense flowed through Zeke, and Dak benefited tremendously.

Dak has always been a guy who thrived with a strong run game. Putting the offense entirely in his shoulders has never been his strength. It's why I wouldn't be upset if we took Bijon Robinson. I hate RBs in the first but I think our offense could really hum for the next 3 years.

will Robinson last that long in the round, though?

This is what I was alluding to the other day. If you have a solid offense and scheme, you can plug a rookie into it and still have some success. Like Dak in 2016. Would make it infinitely easier to move on to someone else if all the other pieces are in place.

than our 2016 roster? That was a pretty stacked team, talent wise.
