I think the team is also finally grasping and adjusting to McCarthy’s WCO. I’d like to see more short passes to Pollard rather than straight runs, but the offense is noticeably improved.

I don’t want to see that too often, though. Improv plays like that often result in turnovers.

Yeah sometimes I watch Purdy do that shit and wonder how that dude pulls it off. Throws across his body, into double coverage and the ball just lands right in the receivers hands. I guess some guys just have more luck than others.

It also has a lot to do with the space the receiver has to work with.
 
Interesting. Probably Hank needs some relief and Mazi isn't any good at 1T, at least not yet.

Our passing game is night and day compared to what it looked like earlier in the year. I honestly think this was just part of the plan in terms of start small and slowly grow as you implement the system.

I don't know. But it's the play calling in the passing game, it's the command given to Dak before the snap, it's the pre snap movement. It's like we went from the dumbed down WCO for a rookie QB to the advanced version over the course of 9 games. It clearly was intentional for one reason or another. But I know McCarthy has always talked about holding some stuff back as the season goes along to not give teams tape on everything you can do. So there is a good chance we will continue to see things morph as we get closer and closer to the playoffs.
