Here's the entire show:

1:00:29 is the Overshown pick. They were debating between him and Colby Wooden. Did we even talk about him?

Mike has a funny little smirk when Jerry is talking to the grandson getting the Overshown intel. :lol

I don't know. This feels very, "I underperformed and wasn't may fault, it was theirs."

Funny the apparently shitty OL coaching didn't keep Steele, or Tyler Smith, or Biadasz from developing.

Since he missed his rookie year, 2020 was first exposure to the NFL and that was the first year under Philbin.

If what Sturm is saying is remotely accurate is that the OL scheme with Moore's Garrett-like design around it dictated things? I have no idea.

As much as I would love to hang this on Garrett, it makes zero sense.

What he is basically saying is that Kromer is a hell of an OL coach, which should be common knowledge.

Agreed. I never got the Philbin hate. I think our OL has been pretty good considering some of the new pieces like you mentioned.

I will say, back to the Roku vid above, when they're debating Mazi vs Bergeron, Mike says his two top priorities since last season ended were run defense and improving the OL. So maybe Solari was part of that.

The Deuce pick drama starts at about 1:17:00. Pretty good.

Jerry actually seemed more concerned about his size than Mike did. Mike seemed very positive on him, said he was so productive, just small.

Mike also liked Brooks a lot there. Said Brooks reminded him of Geronimo Allison being tall and lanky and playing faster than his time. Jerry asked which he would take, and Mike said just stick to the board, it's been good for us.

I was really hoping they had some on the Schoon pick, but I guess they skipped that one.

What this tells me is that beyond the two players, they also were locked in. Bergeron was a Last of the Mohicans tackles in their eyes. The next true one went way until pick 65, which was Tyler Steen. They never even considered Avila or Anton Harrison.

He was too good. Has to be someone lower on the food chain, like Garth Jax.

didn’t realize these were the rules. Yes, Gogan was the hockey-style enforcer on that line in addition to being a decent starter. A forgotten Cowboy that did his part well. I remember the end zone brawl he had, put-em-up like a 20s boxer with a curly mustache.

Agreed. I think Steele must have an unbelievable work ethic. How much better he got each year and rehabbing that bad knee is a relatively way short amount of time.
