I certainly didnt like the interceptions, but the number last year was high for Dak.
But, I dont think obsessing about them is in any way helpful. I expect the number to come down, but who knows.
I just wish the media would give it a rest.

This is true, about half of his picks were simply drops or him throwing 50/50 balls to Gallup on a comeback that Gallup quit on.

I don't think it'll take much for him to get back down around 10 picks.

If that’s true, then why keep forcing those jump throws? Why isn’t Dak chewing Gallup the fuck out and why isn’t Gallup getting benched?

And drops happen to every QB. Accurate QBs place the ball where a drop won’t likely result in a deflection into opposing hands. That is something Dak can learn to control better.

Sure and statistically last year was a pretty big outlier, which is why I'm confident he'll be back around where he normally is. As far as Gallup, I think that was just unfounded faith/optimism that he was back to his old self.

Yep, of course some interceptions are on the receiver. But that's true for every quarterback who has ever played the game.

Which is why Dak shouldn't even mention it.

It’s funny, but a lot is expected of QB’s these days when you compare with greats from decades past.

Pass rushers are still as effective as they were back then, even if they can’t tee off on QB’s the way they used to.

QB’s and WRs are simply better than they used to be all those decades ago.

Back then when you saw a deep pass, you thought maybe 1 out of five might get caught, and just as likely by the other team. Nowadays deep shots are more like 1 out of 2 or 3, and we’re actually talking about ball placement relative to the WR.

I just want him to get the ball downfield. I don't want him obsessing over keeping his interceptions down. Good QBs take risks.
He's gotta get that connection with a WR again.

Sucks when your #1 guy is cut.

:lol How have I not seen that before now...

Wut? Pretty hard to figure which direction a deflected ball is going to go.

I think it was partially about having to rely on Noah Brown as your #2 and Tolbert being a huge no show. No one else was there to step up.
