2021 Week 1 Gameday Chatter Thread | Cowboys @ Bucs | 09/09/21

I’m doing okay For a guy who had a tumor removed from the pancreas, a gallbladder removed, an intestenal reroute to fix a leaking pancreas and 4 days later had an additional surgery using the same incision to do another reroute of the intestine to create a bypass to the stomach to wake up a bowel track.

I am in a home therapy system and things are improving every gay. I appreciate the concerns. Thanks to all of you that.
Good to hear from you LT, we will def keep you in our prayers

Imagine the offense putting up 450 yards and putting the team in realistic position to score 33 points - against a really good defense by the way- and complaining that they didn't do it in the way you personally think they should have.

And those 33 points probably would have won the game had the kicker converted a couple easy kicks.
We tried the "pass pass pass" thing last year before Dak got hurt. Didn't work. It's also a good way to get your QB killed. Is San Diego soft enough on defense to finally use our expensive RB? If not, get on the phone and try to get Baltimore to bite.

we still have a lot of work to do on red zone offense. The one offensive negative.

It was a callback to my post about the Emmitt days and not fearing any defense. If Zeke had been running into a brick wall for the first quarter, or we found ourselves down 21-0 in the blink of an eye, I could understand the pass-first strategy, but to never try running in the first place? Weak.
And, you would have been the one bitching if they wasted the 2-3 series trying to force the run. That was a glorious gameplan. It was finally obvious they actually gameplanned for the team they were planning, not the things "they always do".

I admit...I did not expect the level of aggression. Don't think Bowles did either.

You are off the damn rails. Our offense was absolutely dominate last year before Dak got hurt.

They never gave me a chance to bitch. And no, you don't give up on the run after two series. If Zeke is done and they know it, then passing is a necessity and you don't get credit for a "glorious gameplan."

the simple truth is the passing game was killing it.

Dude, for once, we were ahead of the game and didn't get caught with our pants down trying something as idiotic as trying to establish the run against the best front 7 in this league. You should be celebrating. This is a dumb argument, and you're bitching just to bitch.

We did impose our will, through the passing game. Dak threw for over 400 against the best front 7 in the league while missing his best OL. I'd say that is imposing our will.

Imposing our will is a little extreme.

We gained a lot of yards, sure, but way too many FG attempts. IIRC, two turnovers in TB side of field and how many points did we get?

We moved the ball almost at will. If it weren't for drops and missed FGs, we win this game fairly easily.

Best wishes my friend.

During the broadcast did they address why Lavante David wasn't flagged for taking his helmet off or did they just pretend it didn't happen?

They said "as he takes off his helmet " so it was noticed but not brought up after that one statement

Even had a closeup on it.

It's the type of shit we'd never see executed properly in the past with sloppy screens and such but it worked perfectly here. I very much doubt this will be our general strategy and once we're playing normal defenses with Martin back I think you'll see a much more balanced run to pass ratio.
This is the point most idiots in the media don't understand. This was clearly a unique game plan tailored to our opponent's strengths and weaknesses. I expect to see a much more balanced attack next week vs the Chargers.

16 snaps too many.

Felt like a lot more than 16. Maybe because I was intentionally looking for him when he was on the field.

I'm just glad the coaching staff is putting the best players on the field. If Garrett were here he'd have Jaylon starting and playing 50+ snaps per game simply because he's a vet and a RKG.

The refs appeared to be looking right at him when he did it. No excuse for them not throwing a flag in that situation.
