Tampa Bay and the Rams are the favorites after embarrassing losses. Kind of interesting but I guess it just shows that a one or two game skid in the middle of the season doesn't mean much.

I think people underestimate the importance of Woods to that offense, he's kind of their enforcer with his blocking and sets the physical tone as a possession WR. Losing him and replacing him with a diva like Beckham is an issue, they're still really good but there's no chance they're a top 2 favorite in the conference right now.

Been quite a while, months, since I posted. I'm sure this observation has been beaten to death, but the crystal clear difference between this team and past regimes is that this team takes the field expecting to win and playing to win. It's infectious and seems to fire up the whole roster.

That's a huge contrast with the maddeningly passive mind set of playing not to lose, hoping to sneak up on a win.

Don't know where it comes from: the players, coaches, Prescott, or whatever. But it's very, very different from the sleepwalking of just two years ago. Understand that this is hardly a revelatory insight.

Welcome back. Make yourself comfortable. Never know when we'll have a season like this again.

Thought you joined NYGiantsCentral after Garrett left us.

Thanks.

That hiring by the NYG always mystified me, and made me laugh. Why would any organization hire someone as an OC whose biggest failing over a period of years was a lack of imagination and a totally lackluster record? In the end, who cares -- as long as he was gone.

Post more, seriously. This season does feel different than anything we have seen in 25 years. The team feels different. The playcalling feels different. The team is playing so much harder than they have in forever. It's a good feeling to watch this team this year. Here's to hoping they can keep it going.
