You don't make a mistake letting Cooper go because you made a mistake keeping Zeke on that fucking deal. One mistake doesn't justify making the other. Should have never resigned Zeke and inly reaigned Cooper.

Like I said, I hope you're right about him. I'll believe it when I see it.

You've seen it. He was a top WR in the NFL this year. He is a huge part of the reason Dak had a career year. And honestly the attention he got helped Gallup become a top notch starter as well.

Not sure what's upsetting? Did you expect a 1500 yard receiver or something? Who cares about home and away splits when the final numbers are that great?

Couldn't be the coaches or anything...
If I was the coach and someone with the perceived behavior of Cooper would make me want to look into why this was happening ,if in fact it was happening. This is a very strange response for a player to take and it can cost a team quite a lot in the long haul of a season. Team mates will also take note.

:lol Wut??

If he gives us any kind of production @ the Jets, New England, or Philly, we easily win the East.

Sure and if you don't have his production in the other games you don't win them. Again if he balled out in every game he would be like a 2000 yard receiver. WRs are going to have down games. Does it matter that those aligned up with the road for one season?

For one season? No.

But what if it's a legit issue? I don't think it is, but I understand the concern and reservations others might have.

I'm willing to bet on his talent, though. I think it's either coaching or a mental thing, both which can be rectified with better coaching and leadership. And because of that I'm willing to pay him the big bucks because when that guy is on his A game, he's amazing.

Dude, this team can't reach its full potential if their #1 receiver (who wants a big pay raise) only produces eight games a year. That's just common sense. The SB is a road game for most teams. If we make it next year, Amari might as well stay home.

So if you have a guy that guarantees you at wins at WR but helps you little in 8 other games you don't see the value in it? Look at most elite WRs and that's probably the case.

Most WRs are going to amass the majority of their stats in 8 games.

The value in that is $6M, not $18M.

Most WRs are going to amass the majority of their stats in 8 games.

Their dominant games will be spread out. They won't be complete no-shows on the road.

So you think a guy who gives you 70 recieving yards every week is more valuable then the guy who gives you 150 every other week. I disagree. You get enough guys with a great average they cover up for each other.

Even Julio Jones only has 8 games where he got to 80 yards or more. The only reason you notice this is because of the home and away splits.

Coop gave us 150 every other week? I must have been watching a different WR this year.

Correct. Buy them in bulk and don't pay any of them $18M/YR.

Right, because sooner or later you have to win a big divisional or playoff game on the road. Last August, if Zeke's reps said "Look, we want $90 million but you'll get nothing from my client on the road," what would have been Jerry's response?

Again, the home/road thing didn't happen to Cooper in Oakland.

Wouldn't logic dictate it was less to do with Cooper here and more to do with our ass coaching staff that as a philosophy coached ultra conservative on the road?

For $18 million, I would require more than that.

150 yards every other week is 1200 yards on the season. Just giving an extreme example. Considering Cooper had 1200 this year I figured it was a good number to pick.

Well then I'd say you would make a really shitty GM. If a WR gives you a value add of 8 wins a season then you'd have to be insane to not take that. Surely the other 21 starters on your roster can get you another 2-4.

:lol

that's right up there with Jerry forcing TO on Parcells. if it's McCarthy's idea, I'd change my mind.

It was my idea, so piss off.

We need cheap options at CB, not guys trying to break the bank.

We won 8 games solely because of Cooper?
That's debatable. Maybe I wouldn't make a good gm, but I wouldn't be throwing out big deals willy nilly on guys I wasn't 100% on.
