I'd say from today through the next few years we can focus mostly defense.

As an aside, what in the actual fuck were the Saints doing drafting Ruiz?

Their interior OL is Andrus Peat, who they just signed to a large extension, Erik McCoy who was a 2nd rounder last year, and Larry Warford who has a decent sized deal as well although with just one year remaining.

Ruiz seems like a C only to me, he can probably be decent enough at OG but you're taking him away from what he does best. Frederick could've played OG as well but he was elite at center and passable to good at OG, if you're drafting Ruiz as an OG he's not a 1st.

I love stats but I don't think anyone who actually knows a thing about football thinks that Lawrence wasn't having a big impact on games.

Not $20 million worth of impact.

Take note of how many backup right tackles he faced in 2019 without a sack. And how many mobile quarterbacks kept drives alive and had career games against this defense largely because they were running free to their right side.

If the Eagles trying to trade with the Falcons is true, and they turned it down to take Terrell at 16? Holy shit. Everyone in the Falcons F.O. should be shot. They could have still had Terrell at the Eagles spot. Hell, they probably could have traded down AGAIN and still got him.

I don't think Terrell is that much better of a prospect that some they could have certainly gotten later. I know we weren't picking him. I think the Falcons missed an opportunity, but it ultimately benefited us and screwed the Eagles so I'm glad that they did.

I don't love Terrell so I would've done it and been happy to take Gladney, Jaylon Johnson, etc., etc., but if you absolutely love Terrell as I'm sure the Falcons do, I understand it.

I just don't agree with it. I don't think Terrell was worth that pick and disagree with the Falcons assessment that he was. And as for the being sure about the Raiders? Good luck figuring out what those bozos are doing, they reached on both of their 1st round picks.
