2014 College Football Chatter...

Maybe Miles should come to Tech and ressurect the program. That way we can focus on football instead of GQ. /end frustrated and impatient tech fan.

The only people who focus on that are horny women and the rest that focus on the garbage that the media puts out.

College football insider for NFL.com was on the radio this morning and said Les Miles is his pick for Michigan. LSU having a down year and he's under a lot of scrutiny for it so he could bounce to Michigan and rebuild a team with his recruiting and take over a bad conference.

Les Miles' name will always come up when Michigan's job opens up, so it's no surprise. But I can't think of too many people who would want him because of how he openly ignores the QB position.

I will throw out Schiano's name...and maybe even Tyronne Wheatley.

That did not keep them from hiring Hoke.

True, but Hoke had a few successful stops as a head coach prior to getting the job at Michigan. And Booze will tell you, I did not like nor want that hire because I felt that it was a weak, watered down, milquetoast hire. And Wheatley would be worse than that. He doesn't have any experience as a coach. It would be a disaster.

He was just a name I heard...forget who was talking about it, but it was mostly about the boost it would provide in recruiting. They have to get this next hire right though...3rd time trying to replace Carr.

He will still go in the first round.

That's so fucking dumb.

The NCAA is still doing this shit after they took a black eye in the O'Bannon case?

Why are these kids still getting suspended for this? It's the Dez thing all over again.

I say these athletes should get every dime they can from their status, and the hypocritical NCAA needs to go find something more important to do than to ruin these kids' careers because they're doing exactly what the NCAA already does - make money off their status/popularity.

This isn't the Dez thing, it's the Manziel thing. He knowingly sold his autographs for money. Til the rules are changed, it's still illegal and Gurley knows that.

Now I just hope this hurts his stock just enough to fall to us. Peace out, Murray.

Regardless, it's harmless and he shouldn't be suspended for it.

He made a total of 400 bucks.....that's peanuts and not even worth the NCAA paying any mind over.

And I'd love to have Gurley in Dallas, but I'd be just as happy with Gordon out of Wisconsin who I think is going to be just as good of an NFL player.

If I shoplift $50 worth of stuff from Wal-Mart, should they care? That's peanuts to them.

Fact is, they would care cause it's the law. And when it comes to things like this, the NCAA sets the law.

I still don't want to waste my first round pick on a RB but I doubt he falls to the very end of the first round anyway.

All Dez did was lie about meeting with Deion, which in and of itself was not a violation.

I don't care if we're picking 32nd. If we take a RB in the first, it's stupid.

@nfldraftscout: I would love to see the NCAA give athletes two options:

1. Full-ride scholarship
2. Pay your own way, but allowed to profit from likeness

------------

Interesting scenario. I'm guessing only a small handful of kids per year would bypass the schollie.
