I don't think there is any chance he drops to 24 but I just don't see it on the field from him. He is big, awesome athlete and he only beats guys on stunts. I don't get it.

Do you think he has a realistic chance to be taken first overall? That was my only point. There is about as much chance of him being taken first overall as there is of him falling to 24. Neither is going to happen.

I don't know, teams are dumb and it's a goofy year. But I doubt it.

I think you're underrating him but I generally agree that he's way too raw for all the praise he's getting, and he may never be a truly great edge rusher. I think most of his potential as a pass rusher is on the interior.

He probably doesn't even crack the top 10-15 last year but this is a very weird draft.

Yeah I remember our discussions when the talk was him at 24. I wasn't even thrilled with him there. I admit my opinion on him is not the concensus. I mean it sort of is, everyone sees that the guys tape isn't great as a pass rusher. Some just excuse it because of the measurables and write it off as Georgia didn't ask him to do it. But I can't imagine drafting a guy based on something you don't see in games.

tape is king, especially vs other good teams

Walker wasn't even in the top 3 impactful defenders on that team. If you buy into these stats his pass rush win rate isn't very good either. Like not even top 10 in this draft. He is big and an amazing athlete. But he didn't show it in college.

He reminds me a lot of how the Raiders overdrafted Clelin Ferrell.
