Smith would piss me off a little.
Luckily he has no idea. I like Tyler Smith but dude is a penalty magnet and raw as fuck. He would be a bad pick in the first round.

He is a project. You don't take projects in the 1st.Luckily he has no idea. I like Tyler Smith but dude is a penalty magnet and raw as fuck. He would be a bad pick in the first round.

Yeah Burks would not be optimal either. But I would take him over Smith there.Agreed. He is getting pushed up because of the number of teams that need/want tackles and the number of them available.
I don’t really want burks either.
You can be shocked. I am in the pissed off lounge. The obvious options for us in the scenario Schrager lays out are Kenyon Green, Nakobe Dean and Karlaftis. I'd be shocked if we took Smith over Green.

I 100% agree that we shouldn't take Smith at 24 but it does seem that the league as a whole values him as a late 1 with it being rumored that he won't get past Tennessee at 26.
I wouldn't do it but that does seem to be the reality.
I'd be ok with thisCNN's latest
Projected trade: The Buccaneers send No. 27 and No. 91 to the Cowboys. The Cowboys send No. 24 and No. 155 to the Buccaneers.
27. Dallas Cowboys (via Buccaneers): Tyler Linderbaum, IOL, Iowa
La’el Collins and Connor Williams are no longer on the roster, and former first-round picks Tyron Smith and Zack Martin both turn 32 this season. Linderbaum is a center-only prospect who won’t become a long-term replacement for any of those linemen, but he would be an upgrade over Tyler Biadasz at center. The Cowboys’ offensive line was at its best when they had former first-rounder Travis Frederick quarterbacking the unit. Even though he lacks ideal size or length, Linderbaum is the best center prospect over the past several drafts and has outstanding movement skills for the position.

They have the Bucs taking Zion with our pick.
Yep, I think that's very possible as well.Depending on what O-lineman are left on the board at 24 I think trading back may be a good idea. If say Kenyon Green, Zion Johnson and Tyler Linderbaum are all still available I'm moving back. I'm not sure I have enough preference between Green and Johnson to make the decision between the two if they are both available.
round 2What about Green?
You said CNN in your first post, and the post an SI mock. Which is it, big boi?round 2
