Interesting, wonder if that's so the Saints can go QB + WR/OT.

Hard to see them spending a 1 on defense.

Smart move by Ealges to just keep parlaying picks to have extra picks year after year. Wish we could do that. Luckily the Eagles suck at drafting.

Smart move by Eagles, move chips to next draft when better QB will be there.

Im just trying to understand the Saints reasoning because it doesn't help us out at all. Just makes zero sense and something that I would expect the Jones to do. I guess the Jones do have a connection with Jeff Ireland so there is that.

I mean maybe the Saints are desperate to make things happen now knowing that there may not be a next year for a lot of those folks. I don't really know to be honest. It's an odd move with odd timing. It's kind of a weak draft at the top. Granted they aren't picking at the top but I don't know that pick 16 this year feels like it's better than pick 16 in most drafts. I actually kind of feel like the opposite. It's a move but it just seems like a move to improve slightly in the short term but hurt you way more in future years.

Saints probably won't be that good the next couple of years. Philly could have a top 10 pick next year.
Why do teams like the Colts and Saints keep helping them out?

I'll give you three guesses.

The one good thing about Scrooge McDuck Jones and his penny-pinching ways is I know there's no chance we give up multiple premium picks for Payton, maybe like a 2nd and 5th or something.

It's just dumb. You've downgraded coach and your QB is Winston. What the hell are you trading away your future for? You think you can make a run this year? You're more likely to have a top 10 pick than a bottom 10 pick, I'll put it that way.

Philly smartly realizes they aren't going to compete for a Superbowl no matter who they pick this year and have loaded up so that down the road they could really kill it. And in the meantime they still have picks.

There's absolutely nothing more impressive than a kid such as Darian Kinnard (Dallas interest) who decided to stay in school before rushing his dream to play in the NFL. That says a lot about how he was raised & the character this young man has established. A rarity to say the least.

Great move by the eagles. Looks like trading a first for a future first and second plus swapping a fifth for a third and seventh.

saints give up a future first and second plus a 3&7 to add a first this year and move up two spots in the first and get a fifth.

the second scenario sounds retarded. .

You have to admit that little worm Roseman can pull off some trades now.

Some of the rankings are still all over the place. This one seemed a little more likely. I considered trading down in the 2nd but didn't want to lose Leal. Traded down 2 spots in the 4th for 219

All of this jockeying around for Penning is insane.

It's because he's the last OT worthy of top 20 consideration and the league is just desperate for OT's (except us).

It's why Tyler Smith is seemingly going to go late 1.
