When teams are punting from the 50 it's way different than punting from their own 25 or 30. Plus turnovers also help set up great field position. When your defense isn't making any plays it hurts field position.

This isn't to absolve the special teams where we keep a guy on the roster specifically because of return ability. Where we reserve a spot on the roster just for a "special teams ace" We put a lot of effort into helping special teams with our roster construction and they are still utter shit.

I think I remember reading at one point that Parsons kept getting mad during TC last year because the STs players kept laying on his trainers table.
