Interesting interview.
His solution to how you handle people losing their jobs is the same as Elon's. UBI. You can put a fancy adjective on it if you want, like high, to make it sound better, but it's still UBI. You will be subservient to the mega-wealthy 1% at that point no matter how you try to shape the system to prevent full control by that 1%. That 1% would control everything. Government, schools, media, agriculture, cattle, pharma. They would control every single means of human existence. We already have examples of this in how the current US government exacts control over the people on welfare. You will eventually eat what they provide for you to eat. I just hope we have enough time to get systems in place to somehow prevent that, but I just don't know what that solution is, if there even is one. That didn't help my fear of AI at all.His solution to how you handle people losing their jobs is the same as Elon's. I don't know. I stick to Grok and Google mostly. I have tried ChatGPT a couple of times but found out pretty quickly it was awful. Why does everyone (not here) seem to use ChatGPT?

I thought it sucked, too.I don't know. I stick to Grok and Google mostly. I have tried ChatGPT a couple of times but found out pretty quickly it was awful.
It is the more readily available and branded one. It is like IE and Netscape was.Why does everyone (not here) seem to use ChatGPT?
Readily available? Don't you just type any of them in?It is the more readily available and branded one. It is like IE and Netscape was.
Oh it's wrong all the time. And sometimes in pretty ridiculous ways.
What's odd is, as I use it more, it doesn't seem to improving. In some ways it seems worse. And the more I use it, the more it's clear that while it can pull up a lot of information in an incredibly short time, it's not really intelligent like a human. It's just a very slick imitation.
Just last night, two completely separate AIs couldn't even get the fucking date right.Oh it's wrong all the time. And sometimes in pretty ridiculous ways.
Which AI was it?I got into an argument with it a while back, after sitting through an intolerable session of that stupid show Outlander or whatever with my wife, I was like, “why does all media perpetrate the myth of the noble savage?”
It would not admit that it’s all fiction, it clearly has constraints to admit facts in the face of narrative contradiction.
Which AI was it?
Oh. Not surprising.ChatGPT
