Arm, legs and size. But I agree that I think Howell has more mental processing ability and an ability to play within the structure of the offense. Although I have no idea if Milton has developed at all with another year in the system.

We really do not know if Howell has even decent mental processing because you don’t get 20 interceptions in 23 games and only eighteen starts if you have sharp processing. That is Quinthy level type errors.

Yeah I wouldn't say it's good. But I think it's better than Milton.

No, that's not true, you don't know the player, he's nothing like Quincy at all, on any level. You clearly looked at the stats and just drew an uninformed conclusion.

He's a gunslinger like Favre, all the way back to UNC. But to say he doesn't have the mental processing is just wrong.

Until proven otherwise, each has clearly shown he is an interception waiting to happen. Neither are making me feel like we have a guy who can win a four game stretch.

Milton is lucky he cost the Cowboys draft capital, otherwise he'd already be gone, IMO. He is about as reckless a passer as I've seen.

Howell's first NFL contract has not been an inspiring journey spread across four teams before coming to Dallas, his fifth team to start his fourth NFL season.
  1. Drafted by Washington
  2. Traded to Seattle for mid-late round pick exchange after Washington drafted Daniels
  3. Traded to Minnesota this time in a just late round pick exchange after being beaten out on the depth chart by Drew Lock and a 3rd rounder-- whom Seattle drafted almost immediately after having signed Howell.
  4. Traded as part of another late round exchange with Philadelphia after picking up Carson Wentz.
  5. Philly did not resign him once his rookie deal finally expired, in favor of Andy Dalton and the legendary Tanner McKee
  6. 1-year FA signing by Dallas

I mean, you can fall back on that, and the INT stats aren't untrue, but, again, he's nothing like Milton at all and he's far more competent at running an offense and moving the ball. He also threw for 4000 yards basically, Milton can't dream of that at this point and neither could Quincy.

And it happened behind an OL that gave up the 5th most sacks in a season all time. That has to factor in. Did Milton have to deal with that? No. So it's apples and oranges.

Yeah, he's bounced around, but I doubt anyone on this board has watched him as much as I have.

There's something there, I am telling you.

Doesn't mean it will translate but he's a worthwhile investment to see as a backup at least.

Milton is meh.

I have little doubt this is true.

But have the guys that do this for a living that get rid of him shortly after he arrives seen him as much as you?

They just didn’t know what was good for them.

So what if he holds the damn ball too long and waits for the inner Fav-Ruh to guide him and takes sacks and has off rhythm and late throws. Mental processing is not just knowing how to read a coverage, but also read the pocket/rush and make quick smart decisions instead of reckless ones trying to be the hero.

He's not a comp as in total level of quality. He's just a gunslinger as a prototype.

But there's a huge difference in saying he throws a lot of interceptions because he's a brain dead retard like Quinthy and he throws a lot of interceptions because he's making conscious choices to gamble.
