I agree with you. I'd much rather have a system built on a set number of challenges rather than one where each team is provided an infinite amount of reviews. NFL rules are too subjective and complex. Games would last an average of 4 hours with that type of system.

Which is my point. A ref sitting in a booth shouldn't get to say if a play gets reviewed for penalty. Any penalty. It should have to come from the team and count as a challenge. I don't want to watch commercials for an hour of commercials every game I watch because the play is "under review".

Stopping the match for an injured goalkeeper during a live play seems odd considering they keep playing when every other player goes down with an injury.

I think it was more because of how he went after the refs for even wanting to review it

I had been rooting for Switzerland until that. It was one of the most egregious flops I've ever seen. And the level of incredulity he had in arguing against the call was absurd.
