I just looked it up. Browns were full of shit.Good question.
Before the draft when KC still had 9, I looked up 12/20 for 9/29, and KC would have had to throw in their 4th to make it close to even.
24 isn't too far off of 29 so I'm not so sure our offer was "light" in actuality.
9 is 1350
24 is 740
That's 2090
12 is 1250
20 is 850
That's 2100
We were actually due a 6th or something to make it even.
Browns just wanted Fano and didn't want to risk losing him to the OL hungry Giants. Which is interesting because by all reports, Giants wanted Mauigoa so bad they were considering him at 5. You'd have thought a well informed org would have known that the Giants wanted that specific OL.
I guess we made out better the way it came out though.
