This conversation made me wonder when AOL went away. I was surprised how long it hung around:

September 30, 2025 (for AOL's dial-up internet service, the last major remnant of classic AOL). AOL officially discontinued its dial-up service, along with the associated AOL Dialer software and AOL Shield browser, on that date. This marked the end of an era for the service that helped popularize the internet in the 1990s.
