Hockey announcers are so lame. They need a Joe Buck, Gary Thorne, someone with a great voice.

Also, I'm pro Dallas winning this series because I want Quinn Hughes to shake free of Minnesota in free agency next summer (2027) cause the Rangers will certainly be the odds on favorite to sign him if he does. And if Minnesota is a sinking ship it makes that more likely.

Local hockey announcers are usually great, national guys usually suck.

But that's true of baseball and basketball too.

Football is unique because all the televised games are national.

But yeah for such a big moment that call was lame as hell.
 
Bob Wischusen is currently the best national voice out there for Hockey and they only have him doing it in a part time role. And even he is just kinda good-ish, not great.

Sean McDonagh is fucking terrible at it.

The NHL is run by morons. That call was fucking awful. It's RUINING the product.

The hyped up calls are a very substantial part of the excitement of watching.

Yes, it was. That was a phenomenal deflected goal. One of the best I have ever seen, to be honest. It should have caused the announcers to lose their shit, but no.
