Prospects Dallas Has Shown Interest In - 2026

Doing drills but not running because he's probably a 4.8 isn't a good look.

I think he goes second round for the record. I said that before but I figured today could solidify him in the first. Even if he just ran a 4.6-4.65 type forty. He is a middle LBer, he doesn't have to blaze. But his weight being 230 combined with not doing any speed tests at the combine or at the Georgia Proday says he isn't going to run well. My guess is he was staying trim to try and run better. He's just a second round talent to me. Good all around player but nothing special about it.

If Allen ain’t the guy at 20, we’ll have to hope Rodriguez or Golday is there in the 3rd. We seem to like Harold Perkins too, but he’s pretty small.

Perkins is weird. You hear abput what a great pass rusher he is. But the guy is like 220 pounds. He is more of a borderline safety at that size. Hell of an athlete and makes plays but I have no idea how you fit him into a defensive scheme.

He’s close to what Nakobe Dean was coming out of Georgia. He’s taller, so maybe he can add some weight.

Yeah he is 6'1" 223.

Dean was 5'11" 229.

But I'm with you. I think Perkins could at least get up to the 230 range. I mean it can't be that hard to put on lets say 7 pounds. I need to probably watch more of what he did in 2025. I know he was a great blitzer earlier in his career and made a ton of plays. But ultimately I'm looking for an off the ball LBer. He will probably never be big enough to be a fulltime rusher at say OLBer. So I need to watch more of what he does in coverage and just reading and reacting as opposed to just flying forward and attacking.

I agree that I do think Dallas likes Perkins and for all I know the Cowboys think he is the perfect fit for what they need at LBer. We all guess about what they want for that spot but none of us really has no idea yet.

Hill Jr. is a good example of why we need to trade down from one of our picks unless someone obvious falls.

Like I wouldn't be upset if we took him, or Allen or even Rodriguez at 20, but we could just as easily get one of them at 35-40.

Same situation with edge rushers like Thomas, Lawrence, Mesidor, Howell, etc.

Would be a big time steal at 92. I'd probably even give him some consideration if we moved back to like 40-50.
Yep. He was overshadowed by Bailey, but he is damn good in his own right.

Hudson — the former SMU receiver, who is not related to Bill Belichick’s girlfriend — clocked a 4.48 40-yard dash at today’s pro day workout. He caught 21 TD passes over four college seasons.

:shrug

I assume this is for Mesidor and Scott, maybe their mid-round DT whose name I forget as well.

I still think there is an outside chance Bain falls to 12. Certainly a good idea to do our homework even if it is a slim chance.

But Scott really just screams exactly what our defensive coordinator loves. But I could be wrong.

I think they probably like Mesidor a good bit.

Before I really knew who Mesidor was there were times during the season where I was watching Bain and kept thinking to myself that the other guy looked more disruptive.
