I'm a huge Maye fan and I'd trade Dak and both our first round picks for him without batting an eye.

But he was more of an elite bus driver all year.

Still, he's in his second season and the future is bright.
 
The amount of praise I'm seeing for Darnold is laughable.

I mean yeah, he's a super bowl winning QB forever. So is Trent Dilfer.

I haven't seen a QB this along for the ride since last year.

He was pretty terrible all throughout the playoffs, although he never really had to do much considering the competition and they played several of the best defenses in the league.

I think he's going to be one of the better QB's in the league in a few years but the regular season was clearly inflated by their shitty schedule.

Yeah for a game centered so heavily on the QB, it's not always the best QB's in the Superbowl. Ultimately teams like Seattle figure everything else out and minimize the impact of the QB. I don't expect Seattle will have a lot of staying power but they have a Superbowl. Teams like that tend to get picked clean quickly because the rest of the roster and the assistant coaches become sought after. And without a QB to carry them they tend to drop back into the pack quickly.

But again, who cares, you have a Superbowl to show for it.
 


In case anybody forgot the completely ridiculous way Seattle beat the Rams late in the year to get a leg up for HFA.

This was one of the most idiotic calls I've ever seen and I think it directly impacted both team's SB chances.

The Rams would've had the H2H tiebreaker if they had won this given that they beat them earlier in LA, and likely would've gotten HFA.

Yea they've already lost their OC and I suspect they're going to lose a few key FA's, on top of the fact that a good chunk of their top defensive players are quite old (Williams, Lawrence, Reed).

Almost forgot about that absurd play. Just total insanity to give them a TD there long after the whistle was blown and players are just walking around. :mad
 
First and most likely not the last Super Bowl that I didnt watch. Dont feel like I missed a beat.
 
I enjoyed the third quarter. In this day and age of offense, it was awesome to see the Seahawks defense punk the Patriots offense time and time again for three straight three-n-outs and then forced fumble recovery on the fourth drive. There’s sadistic pleasure in seeing Dikembe Mutombo rejecting shots left and right.

There was a sense when the Seahawks offense had consecutive three-n-outs that this was the Patriots opportunity. Nope. Locked up and seattles defense threw away the key

Their defense was stifling yesterday. Really shook up the young rookie— top notch defensive coaching and execution with the talent to make it happen

I think when you have a defense like this and 2 weeks to prepare, the odds are in your favor. One of the best defensive performances I've ever seen in the SB.
