I have one of those swatches of turf that they removed from Texas Stadium back in 1981 and sold in the back of the Cowboys Weekly in the early 80's.
Amazing... that "mat" or cushion was almost as hard as the cement that it covered, which was then covered by the turf. Incredible that people didn't break bones just falling on that shit.

I used to not like the TV shots of players walking into the stadiums looking like they were auditioning for pimp of the month.
But I would take that over today’s player that walks in looking like he raided Cruella De Vil’s closet and handbag collection.
The QBs especially are huge fags. Especially the ones drafted within the last 5-6 years.
