2025 Season | Week 1 | Gameday Chatter Thread | 9/7/2025-9/8/2025

Had to go to bed early last night, just finished watching the Buffalo game. Wow. Incredible.

It really was... But I think there aren't enough people talking about how the Ravens just can't be counted on to pull out these types of wins and come out on top in these moments.

Honestly, the Ravens of recent years aren't that much different from our Cowboys in regards to their on-the-field results and how often they come up small when it matters most.

At least we can point to the organizational dysfunction when it comes to the Cowboys, but what's the Ravens problem?

Being in the same conference with Patrick Mahomes.

They count too much on one or two superstars to lead and not "many guys" as Jerry likes to say, and the guys they have are 'quiet leaders'. Can't believe I'm even paraphrasing the guy, but it makes in this case... There's only so much Jackson and Henry can do by example, no matter how superhuman they might appear at times.

The Chiefs have had guys like Chris Jones, Ty Hill, and Travis Kelce over the years to complement MaHomes in their ability to step the f up and rally. Sprinkle in some George Karlaftis, Trent McDuffie, and L'Jarius Sneed and you get a culture of leadership with layers of guys willing to step up, take accountability, and hold others accountable to a high standard.

The best teams have leaders like Ray Lewis that others can rally around. Mahomes didn't tolerate loser-ball like Tony played lining up offsides preventing a win. Who's doing that for Baltimore?

That's how I build my orgs at work-- you can't be everywhere, and you need inspired people willing to lead and teach others.

Anyone see Khan in the locker room after the Jags win? Super embarrassing. Dooooooval just had his head down.

Caleb Williams revenge tour :unsure

Hopefully we can get a little less McCarthy slurping now that he's sucking.

And Caleb Williams is trash, too. The QB play in this game has been brutal. Division III football has better QB play than this crap.

2 QBs averaging less than 6 yards per pass....fuck this....going to bed.
